On Monday, a federal judge granted special counsel Jack Smith’s request for a protective order aimed at preventing former President Donald Trump from revealing sensitive information in his ongoing classified documents case.

The purpose of the order, requested by Smith, is to ensure that both Trump and his codefendant, Walt Nauta, who served as Trump’s presidential valet, do not disclose any sensitive information acquired during the discovery process.

During this process, prosecutors will present the defense with the evidence they have gathered in their investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents since he left office, ABC News has reported.
