I recently purchased the Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1-inch Tube Riflescope and I am thrilled with my decision.
After using sub-$50 scopes in the past, I was in the market for something better and after much research, I landed on the Vortex as my first “serious duty” scope.
The scope looks dope on my AR platform and I couldnt wait to take it out to harvest some game. The picture sight is phenomenal with brilliant colors and a very crisp image that makes it easy to forget youre looking through an optic.
I found the turrets to be flawless with positive clicking and no mushiness. It only took me four shots to zero in my rifle but it could have been even faster if I had bothered to bore sight the scope beforehand.
Cheaper scopes have a tendency to need tapping after each adjustment to settle into place but I didnt experience any wandering zero with this Vortex.
The turrets are easily removable and can be turned back to their “zeroed” tick marks so that minor adjustments can be made later. This scope is an excellent choice if you want something that is affordable but still high-quality.
Overall, the Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1-inch Tube Riflescopes are great value for money and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable but powerful optic.
