Hernando County Schools Transgender Wars--part 12

Hernando County, FL, School Board Meeting 5/30/23: Having survived a bogus "no confidence" vote and diverted attention from the real issue all night, Superintendent John Stratton now cannot get out of the building fast enough. In this short clip, watch his body language before he gets caught on an open mic giving stage direction to School Board Chair Gus Guadagnino.

"All right. Get out. Get out. Let's get out! All right.” he directs.

Background

A transgender teacher made threats against his students, which were reported to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). HCSO issued a Risk Protection Order (RPO) and three firearms were confiscated. Superintendent John Stratton and Board Chair Gus Guadagnino permitted this teacher back into the classroom on the next regular school day and failed to alert the affected parents and staff in regard to the potential danger.

They also failed to inform two new school board members, Ms. Shannon Rodriguez and Mr. Mark Johnson, whom they feared might put a halt to their plans to quietly reinsert the teacher back into the classroom. Since that time, Messrs. Stratton and Guadagnino have sought to divert attention from their negligence and turn the matter into a very public attack, primarily upon Ms. Rodriguez.
