We love this product and have been having so much fun camping with it. It comes with a carrying bag and the griddle side is perfect for eggs! Would purchase again.
Not sure if it says it’s supposed to be light weight, it’s not lol. BUT I love it. Cooks great, hears evenly.
I am used to cooking with cast iron so I seasoned it as usual and cleaned it with water after use then applied a thin rub of oil to keep it from rusting.
It worked great after I figured out how to properly arrange the heat source. I used charcoal bricks because our wood was too damp to light. We cooked up salmon filets and boiled water for sweet corn.
Love this grill and so did the old geezer camper buddies in attendance. Think I will start using oak chips. The carrying case is a great idea.
Nice size for a camping griddle. The two different cooking tops are a nice feature. A bit difficult to clean but anything you use over a fire pit probably will be.
***UPDATE*** So we had this thing out on the trail in the back of the jeep for 10 nights. I love it. It is sturdy. Its easy to season and to clean.
Ive fried bacon on it, grilled sandwiches, ribs, pork chops, heated pulled pork, grilled asparagus, mushrooms, and squash. Plus pots, pans and kettles with soup, beans, sauces, coffee and hot chocolate.
It sets up well even if the site isnt level. The legs dont adjust in height, but you can wedge them into a fire ring at almost any angle and this thingll stand.
Im impressed. Lets see how long it lasts. *** So i just got this, and havent taken it out to use it yet. Ill update this review as time goes on.
But immediate impressions are its well made, fairly heavy duty, and the right size and guage of steel and construction to make it sturdy and durable while still keeping it relatively light weight and easily portable.
