Developing BIG Traps help contribute to a thicker looking back! Most people generally do some form of standing shrug, but the middle & lower traps tend to be neglected.

Your Mid Traps are involved in many rowing movements, but if your traps are lagging behind, it might be a good idea to throw in some shrugs immediately following any upper back biased row.

Your Lower Traps also get some indirect work whenever you do pull ups/pulldowns, but underdeveloped Lower Traps are VERY COMMON, so I’d definitely recommend throwing in some variation of Y Raise. And for those of you who are thinking that Y Raises are a Medial Delt exercise, you’re correct, but they involve your Low Traps, as well.
