Have you ever felt that most of your life you have been held down or hemmed in? You see others going before you into something, or a life, or a place you have longed for? Yet time and again, you stay in little places of life and service.

No matter how much you have prayed for a change, or opened doors of service, the years continue on as they are. There are happy days in them, but yet many more sorrowful ones because your heart is heavy and the longings only grow deeper. I experienced this most of my life.

I felt like that man who had the infirmity for thirty eight years. Everyone else went down into the water before him every time the angel "troubled the water.' But he was the only one Jesus came to and healed. Now in my older years there is a tenderness, a joy and sweetness of comfort I know will grow and carry me unto the Great Fountain.

I can now appreciate the vast riches and wealth of the eternal world even now. The believers loss is only their eternal gain. Jesus loves little things, little people, little children and the lives of His people kept little. They dwell in deeper places of communion with Him.

"He taught us to yield up the love of life for the sake of the life of love. His death is our life, His love is our gain, the joy for the tear, the peace for the pain."
