An awesome product and a really great buy, a must have for those quick trips. Arrived on time, all parts are new and included just wish the lid would have a hook to rest the lid on the side. We've already used this twice within a week
Do you ever run out of charcoal or just want the convenience of cooking with gas? This is how to convert this grill to gas. First you will need a donor grill that has the gas parts.

I found one at an estate sale but there are new ones available at Amazon or at Lowes. The gas burner fit nicely in the Weber. Required a ¾” hole to be drilled in the side.
The gas burner easily mounts on the charcoal grate. 10,000 BTU burner – more than adequate. Electric igniter and handles from donor grill were mounted.
The heat reflector from the donor grill needed some slight fabrication to fit. Also, the gas parts are easily removable so the Weber can be used as a charcoal grill.
I found that enlarging the vent holes made for better gas combustion but has the downside of not being able to completely to close off the air supply when using charcoal (to extinguish the charcoal) This step drill makes enlarging the holes easier.

definitely recommend this to a friend. weber
Bought this grill to take out on the boat and cook in the water. A few pieces of 1 1/4 in pvc pipe and it's ready to go. Needed something small I could fit in one of the storage compartments. I used threaded connections so I can take the stand apart.
I cook outside a lot. I have a meat smoker and a propane grill that I have used regularly over the years. I think I like the smokey joe the best. It holds enough food for a small family.
It is easy to get up to temperature and control the temperature. The grill is small enough to clean in a sink.It is really nice product. When I am done cooking I shut off the air and use the coals for the next cook.
I also mix hickey chunks in . (I cut my own)It took me a few tries to get used to how this grill functions. I would definitely recommend. Also small if you want to bring it camping with you.
These Webber grills are the best thing in the world to bbq with, they have a cult following. I own a couple of the extra large ones but found it inconvenient to who use that much charcoal as well as packet for trips if I was just cooking for me in the life.
This one cooks perfect still and is in a much smaller package.
Ive had this grill for 5 years and is still in almost perfect condition. Its got some rust on the legs but to be fair Ive had it outside sitting on grass in the big bend area of Florida for at least 2 years.
Thats why Im giving this grill 5 stars. Its a super durable grill that takes neglect and is still ready to go. ( I always dump my ashes out of the grill as well though.
If you leave ashes in it then it will fall apart like every grill would.)
This is the perfect size little charcoal grill for cooking on a tailgate, on a small table, or on the ground. Can easily be stored in the back of a pick up bed or in the Weber carry case.
