Purchased for the portability. This is a great grill cooks and smokes great a bit pricey but is a lifetime grill
Just purchased this PK grill and all I can say is its well worth it. I bought the grill specifically for searing steaks. I purchased the Grill Grates at the same time and its a perfect combination.

Ok, these are awesome and the company is even more awesome. Ordered mine off Amazon, parts were missing. Called PK, had the parts shipped overnight. I’ve had a Weber for years and recently got into SCA.
Weber’s are great, but there’s no comparison on which one a professional grade cook would choose. The PK gets hotter, and won’t be spent after 5 years of normal use.
Weber is the V6 Mustang- its fun and gets the job done well. The PK is the dodge demon.
get back to basics cook with charcoal on the P K. Food taste so much better.
This is the best grill I have ever owned. The grill stays hot hours after I pull off my food. Easy to maintain and it's portable. I recommend it.
Great backyard grill. Perfect for a small family. I would suggest getting the charcoal basket for easy clean up. I like the vent controls for indirect grilling foods such as bone in chicken and loins.
The grill should last for years as there is nothing on it to rust or corrode.
I love my PK-TX it’s super easy to travel with and pack in my pickup. It keeps the coals hot like I need for my steak competition and cools down fast after dumping coals so I can pack up.
My first experience with a PK grill was last year in my first steak contest. My partner brought his dads PK Original. It was purchased in 1971. Amazing how long these grills will last.
As soon as we set it up, three fellow contestants were making offers for it. NO DEAL. After the contest and some practice a few days earlier, I knew I wanted one.
This grill was a perfect topper for my new deck. The little bit of assembly needed was very easy, and I am no handyman by any stretch. Although I had steaks in mind when I purchased it, my first cook was thick cut pork chops.
I set it up for indirect heat, seared them first and set them on the far side to finish cooking. They turned out great. Sorry but no photo of the chops.
I am already looking forward to some tailgating next season and hopefully a few steak cook-offs before then. When I ordered the grill, I was advised that it may take several weeks before it is shipped.
It was shipped later that week. I couldnt ask for better results. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The grill is great. I added the GrillGrates and heavy duty charcoal basket.
There are bigger grills and there are less expensive grills but I dont think you will find a better grill and one that will last as long as this one. I hope you enjoy your PK Grill as much as I enjoy mine.
