To perform a seated calf raise exercise, follow these steps:
1. Sit on a seated calf raise machine or a bench with your feet resting on the platform and your knees bent at a 90-degree angle.
2. Adjust the machine or place a weight plate on your thighs to provide resistance.
3. Place the balls of your feet on the platform, ensuring your heels are hanging off the edge.
4. Grasp the handles or the sides of the machine for support and stability.
5. Slowly raise your heels by extending your ankles, pushing against the platform.
6. Continue raising your heels until you feel a stretch in your calves.
7. Hold the raised position briefly, then slowly lower your heels back down to the starting position.
8. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
Remember to maintain control throughout the exercise and avoid using momentum. Start with a weight or resistance level that allows you to perform the exercise with proper form, and gradually increase the intensity as you get stronger.
