First Rattlesnake This Year in the Desert Southwest
1 year ago
21
While traveling to a mine site, I came across my first Rattlesnake for the year. She was young and had just gotten done eating. Because of all the weather this winter, the food source for rattlesnakes is abundant. This creates a better chance to find more of these beauties.
Remember that rattlesnakes are commonly found throughout North America, and while they're not the most dangerous snakes out there, you should still be aware of their presence and be prepared to make a quick and safe escape if you encounter one of these beauties.
