Islam CLOWNS the BMF belt! States that Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier are BUMS!

Islam Makhachev the current reigning and defending UFC lightweight champion does not hold back on his thoughts on the contest taking place for July 29th, 2023 at UFC 291 for the BMF belt. Islam states that the belt is for bums. Essentially downplaying the entire event as a whole and that the only belt worth going all out for is the UFC lightweight strap.

It is officially strap season folks! Islam is taking shots at everyone in the top 5 lightweight rankings. He attempted to downplay Oliveira TKO finish over Beneil and now this? The lightweight division needs answers and a lot more controversy for these matchups and potential rivalries to make sense in the not so distant future.
