The Elite BMX Bicycle is an excellent bike for its price. My son (13) absolutely loves his new bike, especially the flat black "stealth" model. However, one thing I noticed is that the hex screws rusted easily when my son rode it in the rain once.
To fix the issue, we had to clean them up and spray them with a flat black rustoleum. It would have been easier if we painted them before assembly. If you want to avoid the same issue, make sure to paint any unpainted screws.
The overall quality of the bike is perfect, and it seems sturdy enough for my son. Although the bike poked holes in the shipping box, I am still satisfied with the purchase.
The bike was easy to assemble and seems durable enough to last for a long time. The tires are of high quality, and the hand brakes work very well, making it easy for my son to stop safely.
After doing significant research on a good bike for my 8-year-old, I am glad we chose this bike. Not only is it affordable, but it also looks badass rolling around the neighborhood.
Despite the great bike, the packaging could be improved. If you plan on returning it, good luck with the holes poked through the sides of the shipping box.
