The Vortex Optics Pro Series Riflescope Rings are a must-have for any serious shooter. These rings are built to last a lifetime and are highly durable.
The rings are easy to install, and they come in a great price range. With these rings, the scope is held tightly to the rifle, eliminating any chance of shifting.
The fit and finish on these rings are dead-nuts on, and you could not ask for a better pair of rings. The rings require zero lapping and were perfectly aligned upon installation.
One word of caution if you plan to lap your rings! There is minimal room to play around and ensure you dont remove too much material as it may not be tight enough to hold the scope.
These rings also have a great design with no sticking out bolts, and they look great too. They offer ample amount of screws to tighten down the scope, and I still use blue loctite as a safety measure.
I used these rings with a Vortex Strikefire 3-18x44mm scope on a Ruger American Predator rifle, and they fit perfectly. The rings are approximately 0.90" in height, and there is at least 0.25" to 0.375" of space between the scope bell and the barrel.
The scope was easy to zero and did not shift, which is crucial in any hunting or shooting situation. These rings are highly recommended for both hunting and shooting purposes.
Although the rings are a bit high, they are still highly functional and easy to use. However, it would be great to see these mounts in a lower version in the future.
