One of the keys to staying motivated is seeing progress.
Most people just look at the scale and see a number that they then think is represents what their body is.
You’re not just the weight on the scale.
That is only one metric to look at.
Think of it this way.
If you focused in on the bottom right corner of the Mona Lisa would it give you the understanding of the whole painting?
No.
Yet, we do that with fitness all of the time.

For someone looking to ditch the DadBod the ideal result is decreasing body weight and body fat, better progress pictures, and an increase in strength.
Will this always be the case?
No.
