By transitioning your Phalaenopsis orchid from bark to LECA, you provide a well-draining and airy environment for the roots, reducing the risk of overwatering and promoting better growth. This phalaenopsis was rescued in August 2022. I found her next to a dumpster on concrete, next to a dumpster in the afternoon summer sun of S'ern Spain. Her recovery is documented in videos, and until now I was caring for her as per wet dry cycle, working with the degraded bark by adjusting the pH of fertilizer and supplement applications. This is an interactive tutorial as to how to transition a phalaenopsis orchid from bark to leca, from a wet dry cycle to semi hydroponics. When is it the best time to transition an orchid, pre care of an orchid that is going to be transitioned, root system clean up as well as after care. Any questions will be answered during the stream.
