Senator Pamela Wallin EXPOSING legal gun ban in 2022

Just over two months before Liberals quietly retreated by withdrawing their extremely controversial amendments to Bill C-21, originally known as Trudeau's 'Handgun Freeze' legislation, Senator Pamela Wallin called out MP Gudie Hutchings (Newfoundland and Labrador), who promoted and supported the bill, asking why the federal government, without debate or committee hearings, moved to ban legally owned firearms.

The move, Sen. Wallin said, would criminalize hunters, farmers, and rural communities, when the 'overwhelming bulk of violent gun crime is taking place in big cities. So, why target legal hunters and farmers, rather than the gangs and those that import weapons illegally?'

She continued, 'And, adding insult to injury, through Bill C-5, your government has actually moved to reduce sentences for those who are convicted of a serious gun crime and violence?'

Watch as Hutchings, who claims to represent rural Canada, admit 'Yes, there are some [hunting] firearms there... but there are many, many, many, that do not impact hunters and farmers or those who use firearms for sustenance hunting.'

She adds, 'We need to get this in place, once and for all, so the topic is dealt with.'

Not only did she mislead the Senate, she exposed the federal Liberals ignorance and disdain for the 2.3M+ legal gun owners across Canada.
