see v. 29: The name "JEW" comes "Judah"- it means "THE LORD BE PRAISED": A true Jew is one who seeks "PRAISE ... NOT FROM MEN BUT FROM GOD. According to the commentary of the Orthodox study Bible- the goal of the "legalist" is to have praise from men; the goal of a spiritual person is to please God.

Romans 3:1-18- "Conclusion: All Are Unfaithful"
