Haiti Stakeholders Meeting: Kingston, Jamaica - Day 1 / Réunion des parties prenantes en Haïti - J1

ENGLISH: From June 11 to 13, Kingston will serve as the venue for Haitian stakeholder consultations, hosted by Jamaica. Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the announcement in Parliament on Tuesday, revealing that the invitations had been extended to the stakeholders by Prime Minister Philip Davis of The Bahamas, who currently chairs the Conference of CARICOM Heads.

As the host, Jamaica will take care of the necessary arrangements to ensure a successful event and provide the venue for the consultations. The list of participants comprises representatives from Haiti, the Eminent Persons Group (established by CARICOM to oversee the Community's provision of Good Offices to the Government of Haiti and Haitian stakeholders), the prime ministers of The Bahamas and Haiti, the CARICOM Secretary General, as well as representatives from international partners and donor support.

This gathering will facilitate discussions and consultations aimed at addressing various matters concerning Haiti and its governance. The initiative underscores the regional collaboration and support dedicated to Haiti's development and stability.
