Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said she will travel to Tunisia on 11 June with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to start a European discussion on how to help Tunisia and avoid a "domino effect".
Meloni held a more than two-hour meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Chancellery Chigi in Rome. The two leaders held a joint press conference after their talks.
Meloni expressed his satisfaction with hosting Scholz in Rome 4 months after his visit to Berlin and stated that this was an indicator of the dynamism and intensity of the relations between the two countries.
