Meanwhile, the Russian Army on Friday reported heavy fighting in Ukraine's Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, saying more than 21 Ukrainian tanks had been destroyed in the fighting on a major part of the front line.

Reuters reported a spokesman for Russia's Vostok troop group as saying 13 Ukrainian tanks were destroyed in the fighting in the Zaporizhzhia region and eight in the Donetsk region. It reports artillery, drone, and infantry combat.
