Gold Vs S&P 500 which is better:
The choice between investing in gold or the S&P 500 can depend on various factors, including risk tolerance, investment goals, and market conditions. Gold is often considered a "safe-haven" asset, providing a hedge against inflation and market volatility.

It has a negative correlation with stocks during market downturns, offering portfolio diversification. However, its value does not grow with an expanding economy, unlike companies in the S&P 500.

On the other hand, the S&P 500, an index of 500 of the largest U.S. publicly traded companies, represents a broad range of industries and is often used as a benchmark for U.S. equity performance. Historically, it has provided substantial returns during periods of economic growth.

However, it comes with higher volatility and risks compared to gold, especially during economic downturns. Therefore, an investor's decision between gold and the S&P 500 should align with their investment strategy, time horizon, and risk tolerance.

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on charges relating to the alleged illegal retention of national security documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

The charges include willful retention of national security material, obstruction, and conspiracy. The investigation, led by Special Counsel Jack Smith, a former chief prosecutor of the Hague, began more than a year ago.

The case started in May 2021 when the National Archives and Records Administration began requesting missing documents from Trump. Despite Trump's team insisting all classified materials had been returned, further investigations revealed more than 100 documents at Mar-a-Lago. The evidence also includes a recording of Trump discussing a classified document in his possession, which contradicts his claim that he had declassified the materials.

While the indictment is historic, marking the first time a former U.S. president has faced criminal charges, neither the indictment itself nor a conviction would prevent Trump from running for or winning the presidency in the future.

Despite the seriousness of the charges, polling data suggests that the indictment is unlikely to significantly sway Trump's existing supporters. However, if found guilty, Trump could face serious legal penalties, including fines, probation, or imprisonment, the severity of which would depend on the specific charges.

A conviction could potentially influence public opinion, and depending on the perception of the legal proceedings, could either damage or bolster his political future.
