Secret Service officials arrest man for 'appearing' to withhold firearm near White House

Secret Service officers arrested an individual outside the White House grounds Friday. Officials claim the suspect was seen carrying what appeared to be a firearm, although authorities have not been able to confirm whether or not the person was actually holding a firearm. However, an official of the Secret Service stated that, "It is illegal in D.C. to possess an imitation pistol with the intent to use it unlawfully against another person." The suspect was charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
