Lighting Strike At Calcasieu Refining, Lake Charles, LA. Ø3 June.

Slow motion CCTV footage of an oil tank holding around 46,ØØØ barrels of naptha being ignited by a lighting strike at the Calcasieu Refining Company plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Saturday Ø3 June 2Ø23 at around 13:5Ø. Large flames can be seen in this video and heavy thick smoke could be seen miles away. Officials reported that there were no casualties during the event.
An evacuation order was put in place for a 3 mile area around the plant at the end of W Tank Farm Road, later scaled back to 1½ miles. It was lifted at approximately Ø5:37 Sunday Ø4 June. A shelter-in-place that extended 3 miles from the plant. The fire was reported extinguished around Ø4ØØ.
The wx in the area was severe, with winds of up to 4Ø miles per hour and pea-sized hail predicted.
