Frog breeder jumps at opportunity to supply France's best restaurants

Patrice François, a pioneer in frog breeding in France, supplies a variety of eateries around the nation, from bistros to three-starred locations. There are just a few farms in France, so despite having 100,000 batrachians on his farm in the Drôme, restaurant owners are continually searching for "made in France" frog legs. The owner of François Production said to AFP, "I didn't think it could be so complicated to breed," as he stood among dozens of ponds loaded with frogs in a tropical forest beneath 2,500 square meters of greenhouses, "I didn't think it could be so complicated to breed."
