Dear Dr Anthony Freeling, Ofsted and DOE,Â
Re: Potential Legal Action and Request for Information
We write to you on behalf of our membership regarding alleged human rights violations committed by Cambridge University, the British government, the Department for Education, and Ofsted. The purpose of this letter is to initiate the pre-action protocol procedure, allowing an opportunity for engagement and resolution prior to the commencement of legal proceedings.
Our concerns primarily relate to the recent curriculum on Anglo-Saxons taught at Cambridge University, as reported in The Telegraph. The article suggests that the curriculum aims to challenge the notion of the Anglo-Saxons as a distinct ethnic group and intends to "dismantle the basis of myths of nationalism." It is our contention that such teachings, if accurate, amount to a violation of the human rights of the English nation, including individuals who identify as English or Anglo-Saxons.
It is important to note that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) recognised the English as an indigenous people in 1990, as defined by a panel of legal experts. Therefore, any actions that undermine their cultural heritage or deny their distinct identity could be seen as a violation of their human rights.
In light of these allegations, we kindly request that the British government, the Department for Education, and Ofsted provide us with information on any actions taken to address this potential human rights violation. We specifically seek clarification on the measures implemented to address the curriculum in question. If no action has been taken, we request a clear statement to that effect. It is our position that by failing to act on this matter, all parties named in this correspondence bear responsibility for the alleged human rights violation.
We would also appreciate your cooperation in providing the legal service addresses for the Department for Education and Ofsted to ensure appropriate communication channels are established for any future legal proceedings.
We strongly believe that there is a significant body of international common law case law addressing instances of government abuse of this nature, and we draw your attention to one of our legal resources, which is a publication from Cambridge University Press that provides detailed analysis of such abuses.
We invite you to engage in constructive dialogue to address our concerns and seek a resolution before any legal action is pursued. We anticipate your prompt response within 14 days to allow for meaningful discussion and resolution of this matter.
Yours Sincerely,Â
Graham MooreÂ
