Samuel Ashton & The Instincts live at The Brunswick. Samuel Ashton burst onto the music scene in Kent with the sold out release show for 2019's debut release Spreading Light. Samuel's soulful blues and country tones have seen him sell out headline shows in London, Brighton and throughout the south east. He's seen support from BBC airplay and local radio stations and magazines. Big things lie ahead for the Kent-based Soul Man. 2021 sees Samuel Ashton emerging from a world of covered faces with a message to "Breathe Easy" with "Stillness in the face of adversity" as the soulful sounds of his voice accompanied by the warmth of the brass tones wash over you within the first few bars it's clear an artist has arrived, with a message of hope.

​With the release of the new single and accompanying EP on the way, it's clear Samuel's horizons are broadening. ​The new record has brought together a talented team of musicians from all over the world culminating in a sound that echoes classic soul and modern soul influenced artists such as The Teskey Brothers with whom Samuel shares New York based trombone player Ernest Stuart on title track "Breathe Easy"; to a sound that takes you deep into the pine forests with the mythical imagery of the country tones of the EP's closing track "Rea" made ever more authentic by the haunting sound of Spanish sessionist Monica Viñoly's violin.

He has been featured in various Music Blogs and magazines and received continued support from local radio stations including BBC Radio Kent as well as having his track 'Spreading Light' heading a Macknade's advertising campaign.
