Meet John Shea, the owner of Trader Ed’s in Hyannis, MA. Apparently, the racist has quite the reputation in the area, but he recently earned a spot in the sun after being caught on camera making death threats and being a racist. Here’s what happened.

Millyan Phillips and some friends were on vacation in Cape Cod. They made a stop at Trader Ed’s for dinner and drinks, and just as they were about to leave, they saw John Shea come inside and order a cocktail. Shea had left his car running outside, parked sideways, suggesting he was about to down the drink and hop back in to drive off. Phillips and his friends called 911 alerting them of a possible drunk driving situation before going on with their night.

They took a ride service to Embargo, another local restaurant, but in a déjà vu moment, Shea showed up there too, ordering more alcohol. They alerted some police dealing with a situation nearby and were waiting on their ride service when Shea came out saying, “Where’s that n*gger from Boston?” Phillips and his friends recorded the confrontation which included death threats, racial slurs, and assault. The group reported the matter to the police immediately but were told they couldn’t do anything. Now that the video has gone viral, the police have changed their tune and are investigating the matter. We’ll see what happens.
