Uncle Tom’s Cabin

"Uncle Tom's Cabin: Life Among the Lowly" (English: Uncle Tom's Cabin; or, Life Among the Lowly), also translated as "Black Slave Calls to Heaven" and "Uncle Tom's Cabin", is an American writer Harriet Bee An anti-slavery novel by Cher Stowe (Mrs. Stowe) in 1852. The novel's views on African-Americans and American slavery had a profound impact, and to some extent intensified the regional conflicts that led to the American Civil War.
