Chicago 1893 and the stories that don't add up a simple fire burned all of this?

Buildings all started on fire and spread from one to one another.

Chicago 1893. We were told these are "temporary" buildings.

Seems like this setup would take a lot of work for a "temporarv status" when I dig deeper into this the older books mention how all of these buildings were fireproof due to the (18 inch walls)....

Yet somehow stone buildings all started on fire and spread from one to another....

When a cow kicked over a lamp my oh my the stories we have been sold.
