Welcome to the podcast,
May God Bless You and Keep You! If you have never read the Bible I encourage you to read the Book of Genesis and the book of John as great places to start. :)

I am a sinner, but Jesus saved me... What does this mean? I was born with the desire to sin, and you have too. What is sin? Lying, Swearing using Jesus' name, lust, greed, stealing, pride, and many more things that can be found in the bible. I am a liar, thief, and I have sworn using Jesus' name in the past. This means that because God is Holy the human race including myself is separated from God. The penalty for sin is Eternal death and judgement in Hell. If that was the end of the Story there would be no hope. That is why God sent His Son Jesus who like His Father has no sin in Him came to earth and was born miraculously through the virgin Mary. He came to this earth to die and take the punishment for our sin. The Bible says to call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved (Joel 3:5). If you call on God for being saved from your sins and that you believe Jesus paid for you past, present, and future sins in full. You will be saved from separation from God and will be with Him in heaven someday. NO AMOUNT OF GOOD THINGS YOU DO WILL GET YOU TO HEAVEN. IT IS ONLY THROUGH JESUS DYING ON THE CROSS THAT WE RECEIVE SALVATION. Jesus did not stay dead, but he is alive and is coming again.
