Welcome back, today will be the first video in a series focusing on The Tartarian Peace, or The Pax Tartarica.

This legendary, but loosely defined segment of history laid the foundations for the enlightenment and substantial renaissance which followed.

To begin this series, we will look at the origins of the Pax Tartarica, or Tartarian Peace, which itself is modeled on the much earlier Pax Romana, however the most direct influence of the Pax Tartarica would have to be the Pax Khazarica, or the Khazar Peace, which occurred from roughly 700 AD to 950 AD.

During this time an epic trade empire arose in a landscape that became known as Khazaria, a loosely defined federation of Hunnic, or Turkish Tribes. However, they unified through adopted beliefs, and as we will see, the history is very convoluted nearly from the beginning.

With the Kievan Rus conquest of Khazaria, we see the history of the Pax Khazarica almost entirely erased. Let’s get into this substantial amount of hidden history!
