Introduction to Judaism

A Jew is one who is born from the womb of a Jewish mother and the same Jew can claim the religious heritage of the great Hebrew prophets Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Judaism is the ancient religion of the Jewish people.

The Jewish religion was founded by Prophet Abraham in his early days when he migrated from the land of his ancestors in Mesopotamia (present-day Iraq) to the West. His descendants became a nation and conquered the land of Canaan on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea

And they are settled. Hazrat Ibrahim believed that God guided him and the Hebrews believed that God had chosen him to remove the darkness of this world. They made Jerusalem their center and built the temple there twice.

The Temple was destroyed in 77 AD when the Jews in Jerusalem built it a second time. After the destruction of the Temple, the Jews were dispersed throughout Europe and the Near East.

Wherever the Jews went in the world they maintained their ancient customs and unique culture, never forgetting that they were God's chosen people.

. In 1947, Jews re-established the state of Israel on the ancient land of their ancestors.

Jesus and his early disciples were Jews, and Christians call the Hebrew Bible the Old Testament

Muslims also believe in the Hebrew prophets before Prophet Muhammad

Similarly, the two greatest religions of the world, Christianity and Islam, are also inspired religions like Judaism
