Acadian Expulsion (the Great Upheaval)

The Acadian Expulsion, also known as the Great Upheaval, was a significant event in Canada's history. Occurring between 1755 and 1763 during the French and Indian War, it involved the forced removal of approximately 14,000 Acadians from their homes in present-day Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Quebec.
