FINGALS CAVE STAFFA
Basalt" cave on the island of Staffa.
Uninhabited island of Staffa in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.
The National Trust for Scotland owns the cave as part of a national nature reserve.
The cave is known for its natural acoustics and is one of the best examples of volcanic basalt columns in the world.
Its length varies between 227 feet and 270 feet, and its arched roof is said to reach between 66 feet and 72 feet above sea level.
The cave is home to black guillemots, fulmars, and puffins.
The National Trust for Scotland owns the cave as part of a national reserve.

The cave is composed entirely of spectacular hexagonal basalt columns similar to those found at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.
