From the vast Betka River Mouth car park, the journey began over the distinct coffee-toned water, meandering towards the sandbar that blocks the river's exit to the mesmerising green-blue sea. Suddenly, a dozen horses from the visiting Eden Pony Club, riders adorned with safety helmets, sauntered onto the beach. Some headed north towards Bastion Point while others ventured south, their paths captured from all angles. A gentle sideways drift revealed the magnificent cliffs and rocky formations along the southern coastline. A light breeze barely disturbed the river's reflective surface, capturing the cerulean sky and the intermittent white-capped waves. A close-up view showcased the horses against this tranquil backdrop, followed by a swift transition across the cliffs and dunes revealing the winding Betka River. As the journey traced the northern beach, the renowned Mermaid Rock Pool appeared. The expedition looped back, capturing another spectacular view from the north side, extending over the Betka River Bridge and following the horses as they exited via the BBQ picnic area.
