Are Auroras the Source of Earths Water?

A collection of evidence suggests that auroras cause the formation of water at the earths polar regions. Could this be the source of earths water?
Currently, it is thought that earths water came from comets, because it had to come from somewhere. Yet it is not proven that comets are made of ice.
But all the needed ingredients to make water are present in the polar mesosphere - oxygen atoms, protons, electrons and energy.
