EU Elections: MEPs Call for Coordinated Strategy to Protect Against Foreign Interference

MEPs call for a coordinated strategy against foreign interference and information manipulation to protect the European elections and increase the EU’s resilience and discuss the report by the Special Committee on foreign interference. The report includes recommendations for a coordinated EU strategy and addresses issues such as interference on online platforms, protection of critical infrastructure and strategic sectors, interference during electoral processes, covert funding of political activities by foreign actors and resilience to cyberattacks.
