Then, for most of my adult life, I have seen myself as the man in middle.

This philosophy has given me a unique opportunity to lift the failing “man” below me and to encourage “God” above me, to lend me a hand up on my way up the ladder of life.

Call it what you will; God, the Source, the All, Father, King of Kings, Yashua, Allah, Providence, Karma, the Universe, or even Divine Intervention by my neighbor, a colleague, a friend, or a family member.

Or possibly, it was someone who slipped in and out of your life before you hardly had time to acknowledged them, but you knew they had been there.

We too, are the person in the middle. Living the Life.

When life passes you through a tough situation and you and I will not only have bad days but bad years too.

And especially in that tough time; you will find people who will need (a lift up) of what you have in reserve.

Those who are spiritually mature, and or those who are emotionally capable, will lean down to lift you.

A gift willingly given in penury, from meager reserves, is the greatest multiplier of any gift that may be given.

There is a story told of John Wesley.
Wesley, the great theologian who started a movement, which later on became the Wesleyan Church.

A church built up around the idea of the Christian life built upon Discipline and Offering Your Self A Living sacrifice.

Or as they are quick to help you define them as Methodists.
They even wrote a book called Discipline and Doctrines.

Wesley met a man on a one man (pedestrian) bridge.
The man said. “I never give way to heretics.”
To which John Wesley said. “I always do!”

Anyone offering a different vision of the Bible, in certain circles, is a heretic.

Use humor and a quick wit to disarm a would be assailant.

Heaven was a way to escape the repetitive life cycle of the born and the death with the struggle in between.

The teaching of Heaven may have been a teaching, in Christianity, offering a way to break the born-life-struggle-death-reborn cycles.
