Breaking news from the border. And it’s confirming what we all suspected.
https://nutrientsurvival.com/youtube Breaking news from the border confirms what we all suspected. We lack operational control, and the situation is deteriorating. Earlier this week, Mexican TV captured a member of the Gulf Cartel, also known as the Cartel de Gulfo or CDG, carrying an 84 anti-tank gun during a checkpoint in Matamoros. Matamoros is a Mexican border town across from Brownsville, Texas.
It comes as no surprise that the drug cartels are heavily armed. They have been illicitly acquiring modern military equipment from Western countries for years. The dark web facilitates a black market for these weapons. I briefly delved into this topic, but refrained from going further to avoid attracting unwanted attention from the FBI. Nevertheless, I can assure you that such a market exists. Moreover, I suspect that some of the $38 billion in weapons and equipment given to Ukraine over the past year has found its way into the black market, potentially ending up in the hands of cartels and posing a threat to us.
This situation may be one reason why U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz is retiring next month after 32 years of service. Perhaps he no longer wishes to test his luck, or he has grown disgusted with the entire ordeal. Three decades of experience can do that to a person. I hold no personal animosity towards Chief Ortiz and have great respect for him and the responsibilities he has undertaken. However, I imagine it's akin to being in the military, where one must obey orders from politicians. If you are a good soldier, you salute and carry out those orders. In this case, it involves opening the gates and allowing migrants to enter. If you believe I'm joking, take a look at the statistics from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.
In 2020, there were 458,000 encounters on our southern border. Shockingly, this number skyrocketed to 1.7 million in 2021, nearly tripling in a year. The trend continued, reaching 2.3 million encounters last year. In 2023, we are on track to exceed 3 million encounters. Surprisingly, almost 70% of these encounters involve single adults. You can find this information on the Border Patrol website. However, I must note that as of May's end and the early part of June, the numbers have yet to be reported, which is peculiar. Could it be because Title 42 is expiring this month? Perhaps counting these encounters is taking longer than usual.
Now, let me share some intriguing information from a member of our Wolf Pack community who works in the airline industry. They informed me that the U.S. government is booking airline tickets for migrants and filling every available seat on planes to transport them away from the border and deeper into America. Please note that I have no animosity towards migrants. Our country is built on immigration. My own family has immigrant roots, with ancestors coming from Germany and Norway, and my wife hailing from Panama. Furthermore, my children are blended dual citizens. What I oppose is illegal immigration. And on that note, I hold our government in contempt, as they are well aware that after processing many migrants claiming asylum (a relatively simple process), they allow them to cross the border and probably never see them again for their hearings. Why would these migrants return when it is easy to blend in? If they do attend their hearings, there is a risk of deportation.
So, why now? Let me return to the news from our airline professional. There's a private Facebook group called "You a Non-Rev Travel," which stands for United Airlines Non-revenue Travel. It's an invitation-only group that provides space-available travel for current and former United employees. Lately, it has become chaotic with frustrated professionals who are simply trying to do their jobs.
You see, many airline professionals do not reside in the cities where their assigned airports are located. For instance, my friend, who is a pilot for FedEx, lives in Connecticut but is based out of Memphis. It's his responsibility to get to Memphis for work flights. The same goes for commercial airline professionals, including United flight attendants. They used to be able to travel on a plane easily, but now all the seats have been taken up by migrants, paid for by the U.S. taxpayers. Consider this post: "I don't know about the other flights, but our non-stop to EWR (Newark) went from 88 seats to 50 to 39 to 17 to 0." I'm not making this up. This is the current situation, and it will persist. It's not just affecting airlines; it's happening with buses, trains, and any other means of transportation into the heart of America.
Until next time, be prepared, be strong, stay vigilant, and keep on prepping.
