Aloha Everyone: I'm continuing my oldies/classics revival during the month of June at Puka's Bar Courtyard every Wednesday night 5:30-7:30pm. Come out and enjoy the outdoor venue, food and drinks, and sing along to the songs of the '50s, '60s, '70s, and 80s at Puka's Bar Courtyard, Kahala Mall, in front of Whole Foods. "Hold On Tight," written by Jeff Lynne, was the Electric Light Orchestra's (ELO) last top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart landing at the no. 10 position in 1981 (Whitburn, 2013). From ELO's album "Time," "Hold On Tight is about perseverance. In fact, the album "is a concept album about a time traveler who visits the year 2095. This song takes place on his return trip in 1981. He is inspired, and now knows that everything he needs he can find back home" (songfacts, 2023).
