Authorities said officers pulled over 50-year-old Glenn Douglas Perry on April 8 for a warrant on "failure to pay child support" along with a general wellness check. When officers approached Perry, who was known to be dangerous, he pulled out a rifle and opened fire. Thirty-two-year-old Chetek Police Officer Emily Breidenbach and 23-year-old Cameron Police Officer Hunter Scheel were killed in the shootout. Perry later died from his injuries at a hospital.
