Vitamin B12 (also known as Cobalamin) is the super man vitamin! This vitamin is responsible for the creation of new red blood cells, repairs bands of DNA and through this aids all downstream functions of the body.

The reason you feel so good after eating a steak isn't just because it tastes good. Red meat has some of the most bioavailable cobalamin found in nature! After eating red meat, especially beef liver, a massive surge of new energy will course through your body. Your blood cells are going to regenerate, DNA repaired, and your muscle and mind will be operating at full power.

Get deficient in Cobalamin and it's the opposite story. A deficiency in cobalamin leads to fatigue, muscle atrophy, trouble contracting muscles, nausea and severe appetite loss. This can be very bad for people that are all vegetarian or vegan. I am not saying no one can follow these life styles, but if you do, please supplement B12 with some form of cobalamin. The two most common the market sources are going to be cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin.

Methylcobalamin is the better of the two options. in laymen's terms, it has better absorption. But I also do not like the idea of putting cyanide into my system. Cyanocobalamin is synthesized with Cyanide! That is the same chemical spies use to evacuate from planet earth if they find themselves being captured.

So personally I am going to get my Cobalamin straight from the source, meat. But everyones different and can do things their own way. Just make sure you are getting it.
