The ancient Altit and Baltit forts in Hunza Valley, nearby Hunza's capital Karimabad (Baltit), have significant Tibetan architectural influence. The highest peak of the Karakoram mountains - Rakaposhi 7,788 m/ 25,551 ft is visible from Hunza Valley, it is notable for rising 5,900 m/ 19,357 ft in only about 11 km/ 7 mi from the Hunza River. The scenic Karakoram Highway is the main road crossing Hunza”.
