Foxconn Offers Bonuses to Recruit Workers for iPhone 15 Launch
Foxconn, the leading Apple supplier, is intensifying its recruitment efforts for the world's largest iPhone factory in Zhengzhou, China, ahead of the upcoming launch of the iPhone 15. New workers joining the plant will receive bonuses of up to 3,000 yuan if they remain employed for at least 90 days, while current employees who refer a successful candidate will also qualify for an award.
The iPhone 15 is slated for release in September, prompting Foxconn to bolster its workforce in preparation. The move follows previous protests by workers at the Zhengzhou plant over Covid-related restrictions and overdue pay, prompting Apple to address the concerns and improve benefits for its employees.
How important do you think it is for companies to incentivize their employees to refer new recruits? How does it impact the work environment and overall employee morale?
