Clearing Trees with a Kubota BX and a Husqvarna Rancher 455

Started the day planning to boil off the sap we had collected over the week for our third batch of syrup. Well, we let the maple sap get too warm in the buckets and it ended up spoiling.

So plan B was to break out the Husqvarna Rancher 455 chainsaw and work on clearing some trees we had wanted to cut down. Nothing was too big, but the Arborvitae was pretty close to the house. All was easy work though. The Husky 455 made quick work of everything, especially with a sharp chain. The Arborwear Chaps are some of the most comfortable I've worn, with replaceable and adjustable straps all around.

Eventually, we used the Kubota BX to skid the tree down to the brush pile, which we will eventually chip.
