A Tropical Storm Hit Our Homestead! Time To Spring Into Action!

Tropical Storm Isaias recently slammed into New England, bringing with it torrential downpours and winds in excess of 50 mph. Our homestead took the brunt of it, complete with tornado warnings and power outages.

We lost power around 5:30 in the evening. With all the food we have stored in our freezers, and the chicks in the brooder, we needed to act quickly to ensure that all our hard, homesteading work wasn't ruined.
