Halle Bailey's 'The Little Mermaid' Hair Transformation

A major part of Halle Bailey's transformation for "The Little Mermaid" was her hair! The actress turned into a redhead to get into character as the beloved Disney princess Ariel. Keeping her locs was meaningful to Halle. She told Ebony magazine, "It was super important for me to have my natural hair in this film … We need to be able to see ourselves, we need to be able to see our hair on big screens like this, so that we know that it’s beautiful and more than acceptable." The movie's hair department head Camille Friend also told Variety all the details behind the impressive hair transformation.
