Handgun version of the disc launcher railgun. Standard disc clip with spring loading, magnetic disc stacking. Right current wire has high friction, left current wire has low friction, causing disc spin vertically right. Vertically magnetized ring/disc projectiles (iron, neodymium magnets), top-bottom magnet rails on the barrel. Works as brushed railgun with the magnet conducting the current, and the extra magnet rails top-bottom of the projectile, providing partial maglev. Sideways still contact to provide the positional thrust all of the barrel length. The design can be extended to any barrel length. Projectile magnet sizes: ring: d=45mm h=9mm m=46.5g, disc: d=40mm h=8mm m=46g. The rails can be easily changed if contact friction or current arc destroys them. The faster the projectile exits the barrel, the shorter the current pulse needed from a capacitor bank from the clip, total projectile energy 10kJ, minimal voltage for the rails for maximal current with low total power. Super cap bank on top, side or under the barrel, only the charging battery is changed with the clip. Ablative/maglev-plasma heat projectile shield for hypersonic/orbital launches. Also magnetically attached clip and super cap bank, and can be used as attachment rails on top and bottom of the barrel. Can be 3d printed in parts (barrel, chamber, grip, clip, cap bank). Manufacturing by adding magnet rails, current rails, trigger lever, super caps, battery, spring, projectiles. The ring projectile center can be anything, like a tungsten/explosive/shrapnel core. The clip can be equipped with a center rod for rings without the center core, or the rod can be a quick load mechanism for the ferrite rings into the clip, even for easy simple machine loading. Can be made fully automatic launch by extending the launch current rails on top of the projectile feeding clip where it will grab the next projectile automatically until clip in empty or power to the launch rails is disconnected. As simple design as possible, and can be still improved.
