Really nice little set, the fish grippers make the set for me since they are super easy to use and are sturdy. Happy to have had these when I was fishing for trout this last weekend.
I was wondering if these types of pliers would work since they are metal and trout have such soft mouths but they did really well and easily secured the fish.
Pulling back the handle part of the plier head, it simply opens the end and you can just clamp a fish real quick. The pliers that came with the set are great!
They close securely and are even when they close. Pulling the hook with the pliers was simple and using the cutters cut through braid without a problem.
I am not sure if they will always be that sharp but they seem to do a great job. I had cut 10lbs braid and 2lb mono with the trout with the cutters at the base of the plier jaws and appear to be replaceable.
Overall a nice little set with a secure plier holder. Love the kit, love KastKing
So far all the blue kastking stuff have been junk straight trash the pliers came apart on this order and the last order the fish grips came in smashed to hell like they ran the box over with a fork lift I am a huge supporter of last king I have all the bags 11 reels 9 rods a few fillet knifes but the quality control is getting horrible just order the new orange or green ones stay away from the blue stuff and the summer reel and all there braid is trash to
