The Russia – Ukraine war took a twist last week with several cross-border raids in the Belgorod area by Ukraine Army-supported Russian ex-pat militia units using tanks, armored personnel carriers, and allegedly Ukraine armed forces helicopters. Ukrainian artillery continues to shell targets in the area. The vaunted Ukrainian counter-offensive is supposed to be starting, and Russian air forces have struck targets nationwide every night this week in larger numbers than ever before. A big question that has come recently in civilian circles is about new development in artificial intelligence, but now we’re hearing about possible US AI use by the Ukraine Armed Forces and how that would change the nature of the war, both tactically and strategically.
